Seminary School Admission Criteria

Each program at COSBIC has specific admission criteria. For our graduate degrees, candidates must meet a minimum cumulative GPA, and certain programs may require applicants to have completed courses in particular disciplines. We request that our PhD candidates provide a brief autobiography and statement of purpose to help us understand their backgrounds and aspirations. All degree programs require at least one reference.

A nonrefundable application fee of ……. must be submitted along with your application. To complete the full application, the following credentials need to be provided:

1. References
Three (3) character references are required. In the application, you will be asked to list the names and email addresses of three individuals who know you well (for at least one year) and are not related to you (including in-laws).
i. The first reference should be a pastor. If you are part of a large church, this reference may come from an associate or staff pastor, or a ministry leader with spiritual oversight in your life.
ii. The second reference must be a supervisor (which can be a work or professional supervisor, ministry supervisor, etc.).
iii. The third reference can be anyone who is familiar with you personally.

2. Official Transcripts
Transcript will be required from prospective students of our Masters and Doctorate programs. Electronic copies can be sent directly by the institution. You can have your official transcripts sent electronically to: admissions@cosbic.org.
