Refund Policy

Effective Date:  1st December, 2025

 

1. Course Materials and Tuition Fees

~Digital Products: Once purchased, digital course materials and online resources are non-refundable.

~Physical products are subject to inspection upon return. Products must be returned in their original condition within 7 days of purchase to be eligible for a refund.

~Registration fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

~Refunds for services are subject to the terms outlined in the service agreement or contract.

3. Services

~Refunds for services are subject to the terms outlined below:

Full Refund Eligibility: The student will be offered a full refund of the training fee where it is established that COSBiC did not enroll the student into the learning platforms, thereby failing to perform its enrollment duties, within reasonable time [exceeding 48 hours] when learning has commenced.

Partial Refund Eligibility: The student will be offered a partial refund of the training fee less a flat fee of 5000 Naira, if the student has not been enrolled into the learning platforms and demands a refund for whatever reason.

No Refund Eligibility: No refund will be provided if the student has been enrolled into the learning platform, whether or not the student has accessed any part of the course content.

~Wrongful or Erroneous Transactions

In the event of a wrongful or erroneous transaction, where:

~a student is mistakenly charged for a service they did not enroll in or receive, COSBiC will promptly investigate the matter and take appropriate actions to rectify the error. This may include issuing a refund for the erroneous transaction or providing credit towards future services. To report a wrongful or erroneous transaction, the student must notify the administration office immediately with supporting evidence of the transaction discrepancy. COSBiC will endeavor to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

~a student mistakenly overpays or conducts a transaction more than once, the excess amount will be refunded to the student. The Seminary Administration reserves the right to deduct any applicable service charges and transaction fees incurred during the refund process.

~a student is overcharged or double billed, our institution is committed to rectifying the issue within the stated number of days in this policy.

 

4. Reporting

Students should report any wrongful or erroneous transactions to the institution’s finance or administrative department immediately upon discovery.

 

5. Investigation

Upon receiving a report, our institution will conduct a thorough investigation into the transaction in question.

 

6. Resolution

If the transaction is found to be erroneous or wrongful, our institution will take appropriate steps to rectify the issue, which may include issuing a refund or credit.

 

7. Notification

Students will be promptly notified of the outcome of the investigation and any actions taken to resolve the issue.

 

8. Eligibility

Refunds are granted in accordance with Nigerian law for schools or SMEs and are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.

 

9. Process

~Students must submit a refund request to the administration office, providing necessary documentation to support their claim.

~The administration will review the request and determine its eligibility based on the provided information and Nigerian legal requirements.

~If the refund request is approved, the administration will initiate the refund process as per the agreed terms.

~Refunds will be issued using the same method of payment used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed upon.

~Our refunds are processed at the end of 15 working days from receipt of the student request.

 

10. Service Charges and Transaction Charges

~A service charge may be applied to cover administrative costs associated with processing refunds.

~Transaction charges incurred during the original payment will be deducted from the refund amount, where applicable.

 

11. Dispute Resolution

In cases where a student disputes the refund decision, they may escalate the matter through the Seminary’s designated dispute resolution mechanism.

 

12. Changes to the Policy

The Seminary reserves the right to modify or amend this Return and Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to students through official channels.
